Chicago Lights: This image was taken on a cold wintry night in Chicago, IL from a very high floor in a very nice hotel.Available as wallpaper: 1440x900, 1680x1050

Monster in the Park: I came across this little guy while sitting down at one of the park benches at the forest reserve. I didn't notice him at first, but he'd already noticed me, and was trying to scurry away when I brought my lens to bare. As you can see, he was giving me the evil eye -- and he held it for quite some time before deciding that the lens was not suitable for attacking. Side Note: Although the ISO says "1600", I wasn't on the right exposure settings to properly capture this guy, so it took over 3 stops of compensation, which places the ISO at something more like 12800. Thank goodness for LR 3's noise reduction! (1/400 sec @ f/3.5; 180mm ISO 1600)

Bean as a Mirror: The Bean in Millenium Park with the scene around it reflected to the lens. Notice the birds sitting on to, too - apparently they really like to rest on this piece of art. (1/1000 sec @ f/4; ISO 100; 70mm)

Sun Shower: Captured this photo on my way home; isn't it absolutely beautiful? I love the way the sun is casting the light rays and shadows - and the birds in the pic were an unexpected bonus! (1/500 sec @ f/8; 50mm) Available as wallpaper: 1440x900, 1680x1050

Contemplating the Edge: Snapped this guy contemplating the edge of a picnic table. Almost makes you want to yell, "Don't do it!" (1/100 sec @ f/20; 180mm ISO 200)

Ladybug on Vertical: Isn't this ladybug adorable? And the leaf he's on is gorgeous too! And, if I had to guess -- I bet the leaf tastes pretty good as well. (1/80 sec @ f/13; 180mm ISO 100)
